AGENDA has developed and implemented individual projects, or in collaboration with other partners or subcontracted projects at local and national level. It has facilitated and helped development and implementation of projects in the Anglophone Africa in the areas of POPs, wastes, pesticides, lead and mercury particularly in the implementation of Multilateral Environmental Agreements (MEAs) including the Basel, Rotterdam and Stockholm Convention and the new Minamata Convention on Mercury; Strategic Approach to International Chemicals Management (SAICM) among others. It has organized meetings and workshops, awareness creation sessions, trainings and demonstrations of alternative good practices and technologies to some chemicals including mercury in Artisanal and Small-scale Gold Mining (ASGM) activities, conducted sampling and analysis of products for chemical contents like lead in paints and human body monitoring including hair sampling, soil, air and water sampling for chemicals composition. AGENDA has done analysis of policies and legislation for their effectiveness in the implementation of the conventions and other agreements. Further, it worked with research and academic institutions to review teaching curricular to incorporate environmental components.
